The Images of Law and the American Sublime

Monateri is going to held a conference in Verona, at the Law and Literature Italian Society Annual Meeting, on the Images of Law and The American Sublime
The coference is centered around Harold Bloom's interpretation of Emerson and the birth of the American Sublime, with particular reference to the Hudson River Paintng School, to investigate how these ideas may be traced behin the actual representations of Law within the rethorical package of the Rule of Law as disappearance of decision in favor of a depicting of Law as an impersonal tool of government
